This is the exhibition catalogue from the FINAL DAYS show at the CAC Malaga in 2014, the first solo exhibition by KAWS in a Spanish museum. FINAL DAYS was curated by Fernando Francés and included five large-scale sculptures in wood of KAWS’s known COMPANION, among other figures. The artist transforms icons of popular culture, adding elements characteristic of his work, such as equis rather than the eyes. KAWS is a painter, sculptor and designer who collaborates with international brands. He studied Fine Arts at the School of Visual Arts in New York. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn.
