Flash-Back: Murals, Etats-Unis, années 70

Description:
Who better than the city of Vitry - undoubtedly the Paris area's most assaulted by the bombs of street art - to pay tribute to the tradition of the American mural? Driven by the eruption of urban art that has known its town for fifteen years, the municipal gallery Jean Collet takes us to the United States in the footsteps of the monumental frescoes of the seventies. So many banners of subversion and protest from a long (Latin-American) tradition of murals (from post-revolutionary Mexico to the USA of the Great Depression) and born, at the dawn of the 1970s, of the ashes of the civil rights movement.
